NLS deletion phase rowcount mismatch

We are steeping up a test to archive an Infoprovider that contains uncompressed data. When an archiving request is made and we run the Check, the processing proceeds until the deletion phase where it returns the error "Simulation of selective deletion returns different number of data records". Does anyone know why this would be the case?
