Reg.Planned delivery time for dependent requirement

HI All,

I have a query in planned delivery time consideration for dependent requirement which is externally procured during subcontracting process.

Details

Material - X has BOM with component Y

Both material X and Y have procurement type F and 0 as the planned delivery time in MM master.

Material X has outline agreement and info record defined in system and maintained planned delivery time as below

Info record Planned delivery time for X= 10 days

Outline agreement planned delivery time for X=5 days

X has Spl. procurement type as subcontracting(30)

Y has Spl. procurement type as External procurement(20)

Now the process is I created purchase order for X with the vendor and both Info record and Outline agreement got tagged to it and the delivery date given by me as below

P.O creation date - 06.09.2016

Delivery date- 29.09.2016

saved the P.O.

Now when I see in MD04 for material Y the requirement date should be 22.09.2016 but it is 21.09.2016.

the date 22.09.2016 is according to the PID mentioned in Outline agreement. I suppose if both the info record and outline agreement has PID then the outline agreement will be given priority. Am I right. Correct me if I am wrong.

I have changed PID in both info record and outline agreement and tried with new P.O but still I can't figure out the requirement date shown for the dependent requirement material Y in MD04. sometimes it is 1 day difference than the actual date and sometimes 3 to 4 days.

The check box for Scheduling/ info rec agreement is active for the plant in OPPQ. Also purchase processing time is mentioned as 1 day. But I hope this is only considered during PR to P.O conversion

I also understand the planned delivery time is calculated on calendar days and not on factory calendar. But still I couldn't figure out the calculation.

Can you guys please clear me how this is happening?

and the questions below

1. If both Info record and outline agreement has PID defined which will be considered for delivery date determination in Manual P.O?

2. If the check box in OPPQ is de-active the PID from material master will be considered though the info record and outline agreement has PID. Am I right?

3. How the requirement date for dependent requirement is calculated?

Regards,

MBN.

    Hello

if there is a reference to the scheduling agreemenent on the source list, MRP will always try to read the planned delivery time from the scheduling agreement first, then from the info record (if the flag on OPPQ is checked).

Otherwise, if the flag on OPPQ is not checked, system only tries to read the planned delivery time from the info record.

I suggest you to read carefully the following note, in order to understand the scheduling for external procurement:

    76301Scheduling stock transport order/PReq

    • HI,

Thanks for your reply. I still have few doubts.

      1. If I want the Planned delivery time mentioned in material master of FG to be considered for determining the requirement date of component( In my example above material Y). what setting need to be done?

if there is a reference to the scheduling agreement on the source list, MRP will always try to read the planned delivery time from the scheduling agreement first, then from the info record (if the flag on OPPQ is checked).

      2. In case of sub contracting Purchase order created manually and has outline agreement tagged the same above flow is followed?

      Regards,

      MBN.

Hi, Firstly you are creating a subcon PO for which you require the X on a certain date and you are referencing this subcon PO with the OA . Second since the componet is externally procured and in MD04 for the requirements say PR it showing the required date for Y to be well before the main material X Try take the PR which is come from the MD04 and open the quantities/schedules tab and see the flow. Regards

Can you confirm if the organization works 7 days a week..? Number of working days do affect the dates.

    Thanks
