Data replicate in SAPCAR on HANA FROM ECC(Retail) without SLT

Hi,

We are going to use SAP CAR on HANA . ECC(IS-retail) system is on HANA1 and SAP CAR is on HANA2. We dint use SLT for data replication from ECC to CAR because both are in HANA. My question is how data will replicate in CAR on HANA from ECC? any connection is required ?

Hi,

It wasn't clear to me if HANA1 and HANA2 are two servers or two schemas. In case they are servers then you need SLT. If they are schemas on the same HANA server, then data are not replicated but schema mapping is needed.

Hi Vasilis,

HANA1 and HANA2 are different server. SAP CAR using HANA1 DB and ERP using HANA2 DB.

So is there any need to replicate muster data from ERP to CAR or if we do schema mapping then the muster data will reflected in CAR HANA1 DB?

HANA1 and HANA2 both are development server.

Hi,

in that case you need SLT. Your landscape variant is the first one in the installation guide "CAR Standalone".

The schema mapping works only in the second variant where CAR is co-deployed with the ERP.

But ERP system also in HANA then why need SLT? If i connect HANA 1 and HANA2 then the schema mapping possible?

The official guide does not provide this as an option so I don't know if this is feasible and supportable.
