Hi there,
In one of our systems I noticed that there is a SAP standard job running
for a very long time :
When I look in another system I can see the same job finishes ok:
I have cancelled the active job a couple of times. It then re-executes and just carrys
on.
Should I delete this job and reschdule it or is there another way?
Why is it taking so long to run, when I look in the log it says it has finished:
Any ideas?
Thanks
Andy
Hello Andy,
what is the database in the affected system? You need the report RSDBPREV in TCOLL only, if your database is DB6 or you have connected DB6 databases in DBACOCKPIT to monitor them. You can take a look at the SAP note "1167933 - DBA cockpit: Unnecessary jobs on non-DB6 systems".
Please check also this correction "2205706 - DBA Cockpit: Cleanup of obsolete scheduling takes a very long time", if it is relevant and implemented.

Hello Andy,
you need to check this job in an incident on BC-DB-MSS component, what this job is executing and why it is failing. One of the latest corrections for RSDBPREV from BC-DB-MSS team is the SAP note 2272878. This note contains also some information, what this report collects. You can implement all available corrections for the report RSDBPREV from BC-DB-MSS team and then create an incident.

Alwina
