Messages Stuck in SAP PIP Queues not getting restarted even after resetting the status

Hello experts,

We encountered a rather strange scenario today. we have some batch jobs running in SAP which send file to PI using File Adapters (ABAP Proxy). most of the messages from finished batch jobs are stuck on two queues in HRP ( We have Dual Stack Configuration) & even resetting / cancelling / restarting the message from SXI_MOINTOR or SMQ2 is not working the messages appear in queue in schedule state, normally they just get processed in not time. We have identified that all stuck messages were executing on two particular Application server & lock table entries for the corresponding Messages ID's for the 1st messages of each queues were on a different application server. What action should we take to mitigate this issue.

Thanks

Priyesh Shah

Hi Priyesh,

are the messages stuck in sender system or in PI?

Either way, my first approach would be to check the queue scheduler via SMQR/SMQS. Is the scheduler ok, is it assigned to the correct AS-Group, does it have enough ressources?

Regards,

Thomas

Hi Priyesh,

Have you checked any dump in ECC?, if you restart any message manually form smq2, the problem persists?

Regards.

The user is blocked? Have you tried to move all other messages to SMQ3? The scenario is EOIO?
