No item category available (T184) - Message no. V1320

Hi

I am getting this error while practicing FREE Goods.

I want to create a exclusive free goods with item generation. [Automatic Free Good Determination]

Condition: if a customer purchase 'X' material for 10 qty then he will get 2 qty of 'X' material FREE. Customer will pay for 10 qty of 'X' material & 10+2 qty of 'X' material will be deliver.

I have check MM02. PFB The screenshot.

I have also checked T182. PFB The screenshot.

I have also checked VBN2. PFB The screenshot.

Still I cant figure out where I went wrong. Can anyone help me out?

Why have you kept the Higher level item Cat blank? Its one of the factors for the determination of the lower level item. please maintain it.

It should be ZMC+ZORN+FREE+ZIC ==> ZANN (since all are Z). ZANN will be configured as not relevant for pricing or just copy TANN.

The field "Manual...." is a flexibility provided in case the user wants to change the item category during order processing.

Plus since you are trying to go for Exclusive, you must maintain the last 2 fields (Add MatFrGd and its description) in the VBN2. But for that you have to toggle to the Exclusive scree by clicking on the Exclusive button on the left top. U r right now in Inclusive screen.

Plus-- Exclusive free goods are always with item generation. Its not required to mention it separately.

Plus i would suggest you to also notice the behaviour of the condition types R100 and NRAB ( This is just a bonus information) while doing inclusive (w/ and w/o item generation) and Exclusive free goods.

Yes you are right. I have mistakenly mention that 'with item generation'. I just going through ur feedback step by step, I will keep u update once I will done.
