Changing NewsExplorer Layout for KM Navigation iView

Hi,

I am using KM Navigation iView for News Publishing.

I have chosen NewsExplorer for SetLayout.

Its working but shows more links than i want on top of the iView like :

New Freqently Asked Questions

New News

New SAP Demo News

New Sponsored Link

I want to display only New News Link in my iView.

How shall i remove the other links from this iView since they seem to be pre-defined for the NewsExplorer layout. ?

Hi Saurabh,

Were you able to enter the name of the forms in the Exclude parameter of the Settings for Folders?

If yes and still not working, then check the following:

1.) The name of the forms entered are <b>case sensitive</b>. So Take care in Spelling them. You can give the first 3 -4 characters and place a * to refrain from typing the remaining. Eg. Lat* for Latest, Latin etc.

2.) Every project created will have two strings for identification, <b>Project ID</b> and <b>project name</b>. These things will be entered while creating a new project. You might have wrongly entered the ID instead of name in the Forms to exclude parameter.

3.) Or simply enter the Name of Form you want to display in the <b>forms to include</b> parameter.

Hi,

To make the global setting for the availability of XML forms, choose <b>Content Management > Form-Based Publishing > Forms Availability > Global Setting</b>.

To make specific settings for folders, choose <b>Content Management > Form-Based Publishing > Forms Availability > Folder Settings</b>.

In the Forms to Exclude parameter of the Settings for Folders, by giving a Comma-separated list of forms that should not available in the specified folders, u can restrict.

You can use placeholders such as * and ? (for example company_form_*).

Hi,

In order to show only News form you have to do this configuration:

System Administration->System Configuration->KM->CM->Form-Based Publishing->Forms Availability->Folder Settings

Create a new item in order to exclude forms.

Thanks a lot for ur prompt replies.

I did wht u had asked me to but my problem still remains the same. I still cant get those links out my iView.

I went to System Administration->System Configuration->KM->CM->Form-Based Publishing->Forms Availability->Folder Settings and tried Excluding forms there but it didnt work.

Could you pls tell me in more detail as to wht i need to do.
