Replication configuration issue 3 Tier

Dear Team

I have a query,

We have a senario of Primary(SiteA)-secoundry(SiteB)-DR(SiteC) server's with Hana database.

Secoundry is the nearDR and DR is the farDR.

We have already configured a replication between primary and secoundry with 10G network by adding ips in the global.ini.

Now we are in process of configuring replication between near and

far DR ie is SITE B and SITE C but we have only 1G ips available for

for SITE C server.

So can i initiate the replication configuration by adding the 1G ips in global.ini of secondry(SITEB) and DR(SITEC) servers.

Will their be any issues.

10G ip series between SITEA and SITEB is 10.255.17.XX

1G ip series between SITE B and SITE C is 10.255.34.XX

Also note from Site C i am not able ping 10.255.17.XX

Dear Team,

kindly note.....

10G ip series between SITEA and SITEB is 10.255.17.XX between which replication is already running(active) in Async and delta shipping mode.

now our requirment is for far DR (SITEC) for which only 1G ip series is available (10.255.34.XX)

SITEB - 10.255.34.166     SITEC-10.255.34.167

On the above IPs i need to configure replication.

kinldy suggest how to proceed....

Hi Rahul,

We use a 3 TIER HANA System replication configuration

Please follow the IP configuration documentation available from SAP in the following links to proceed with the setup

It is not uncommon to have a lower network capacity between the 2 Datacenters

You can use the replication mode ASYNC to avoid the impact of delay in sync on the secondary

After the IP configuration is in place we should be able to ping TIER1 and TIER2 at the Primary Datacenter from the TIER3 system

Executing the hdbnsutil commands will then launch the system replication to TIER3
