Getting started with Crystal

I am starting out looking at Crystal to enhance my skills for other job roles I am looking at. Is there a sticky on this web site as a good starting point? If anyone is happy to PM me with advice on best ways for me to start in terms of downloading an evaluation copy, what courses to do, what certification, and any recommended books, it will be very much appreciated.

    Hi Harvey,

Register for the trial copy here:

    SAP Crystal Reports 2016

I wouldn't advise taking the certification right away. Start looking at posts on this space to learn CR as you go.

There are also several online tutorials available. The official tutorial from SAP is here:

    • When they say "Business Objects", they probably mean Web Intelligence (Webi) reports, but it would be worth it to ask. This was obviously a requirement written by someone who doesn't understand what "BusinessObjects" is - it is a Platform that hosts a number of tools that can be used for reporting and analytics:

      Web Intelligence

Crystal for Enterprise (which is somewhat different than "classic" Crystal)

      Design Studio
