EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION Data Access Server BI41

Hello,

we use BI4.1 SP6 on Windows 2008 R2. Server memory is 28 GB.

Several times a day our data access server (data federation server) stops and restart.

I see in dump file in the first lines this error.

# # A fatal error has been detected by the SAP Java Virtual Machine: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00000001bff5aef8, pid=10436, tid=1860 # faulting address (tried to execute): 0x00000001bff5aef8

I think at the moment the problem is the ParOldGen Heap Space.

How could I fix this? We use for data access server these parameters below.

I have already tried with other values for Xms, Xmx, MaxPermSize. But everytime our server crash and create dump file. But then other memory space used 99%.

I found no configuration where no space grow up to 99%. Sometimes it is from space, next time it is ParOldGen and so on.

How can I find correct Paramaters for java memory space?

Or is this another problem or bug in BI4.1?

      Hello Bayrem,

thanks for your help. I know this documentation.

But I can not find java memory settings for Data Federation Server in this guide.

See below. Now PSPermGen use 99%.

      Are these parameters correct?

      -Xms2g -Xmx18g -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m -XX:NewSize=32m -XX:MaxNewSize=10g

How could I know if these parameters above are correct?

      Why does Server crash?
