SOAMANAGER can not be displayed

Former Member

Hello,

as the topic suggests I can not access the SOAMANAGER transaction, and after days of gooling I am at my wits end.

My environment: - SAP NetWeaver 7.50 SP1 AS ABAP and SAP BW on SAP HANA [Developer Edition], From http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-41566 .

My attempts:

  • I have activated: default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/APPL_SOAP_MANAGEMENT
  • Attempted to access the SOAMANAGER with "developer" and "DDIC"

The link it tries to open: http://vhcala4hci.wdf.sap.corp:50000/sap/public/myssocntl?sap-client=001

Aside the problem that the APPL_SOAP_MANAGEMENT or the port is 0 I could not get any other problems/solutions on google. I hope someone can help.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

sapserverip vhcala4hci.wdf.sap.corp

Hi Ajdin,

Please read SAP KBA 1936501 - Transaction SOAMANAGER does not work.

It contains troubleshooting for several SOAMANAGER issues.

I looked over them, and I could not find a solution that could help me.

Hi Adjin,

Have you tried to change the sap-client in the URI or you are sure is the 001?

Hi Adjin,

Are you getting any exception or simply the page is not loaded?

Have you checked the SMICM transaction the http protocol is enabled?:

For the first question....

... same problem with FireFox. So it eather is not there, or can not be reached.

As for the ports, they are active.

Hi Adjin,

The problem seems to be a firewall issue. Have you talk with your basis team if you have access from your laptop to that ports?

Regards.

Hi Ajdin!

Try to change server name to IP address in your URL and check if it works.

Also check if proxy is enabled or not in your browser's network connections properties.

Proxy is enabled.

I have attempted to use the IP adress, I have also attempted to go to the SICF and use test service... With the same result. And also to use the IP adress with the path "sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/appl_soap_management?sap-client=001". Failed as well.

Try to set option "Bypass proxy for local address" and add your server IP and DNS name to proxy exclusion list.

It did not help. Can it be that the feature just does not work for trial environment?

A answer I got on Stackoverflow...

@<mynichk> sap server cannot response incoming requests which are coming from IP. You need to make request with domain name.mkysoft 26 mins ago
