send fax with smtp from powerbuilder

I'd like to know if there is way to send fax from p.b 12.5 through smtp ?

is anyone implement somthing like that ?

Hi Eyal;

1) contact your local Telco provider to use their email to fax service. In my area for example, I use Telus ... Small Business Internet Fax | TELUS Business

2) For SMTP example code from PB, check out Roland's example ... Topwiz Software - EmailSMTP

You can search for a service provider that fulfills your request.

For example: efax.com

or  https://www.interfax.net

with a web api.

Hi Eyal,

normally you will get detailed information about the e-mail format you have to use from your provider.

We send a Datawindow in a smtp mail as PDF attachment that will be send/forwarded as a fax to the recipient.

You will see, this is not a big deal.

If you are using a web service api, this should also work flawless.
