Does changing a Usage Decision effect the Quality Level of the DMR when set at the lot level?
I tested this and the answer appears to be No. It seems that the Quality level is only effected based on the original Usage Decision and any subsequent changes to the Usage Decision have no bearing.
Just hoping someone can confirm this.
Thanks,
Matt
No. Once the UD is made and the quality level updated, further changes (i.e. via QA12), do not result in changes to the QL.
This is because the system really can't figure out what to do. If you change a lot that is three months old from A to R or R to A, that would have changed all subseqent lots and how they were inspected.
What if you had processed ten new lots since the one you change? Or even just one lot? Should they all be reinspected? Which ones? Way to hard for SAP to put any rules around this that would make all businesses happy. So they don't.
You have to invesigate and determine what needs to happen with newer lots, and at what level the QL should be set to.
