Unable to create JCOs after migration

Dear All,

We have migrated existing production EP from windows to linux rhel7.

After migration when i am creating JCOs conenction it is giving error "Please choose another name for the new JCo destination. The defined name 'SAP_ECC_Financials_MetaData' is used in the SLD."

In my system all jcos are showing red. Please suggest.

    Hi Arun.

I think you have to delete the existing JCO and then create the new JCO with same name.

    Hello Tarun,

I assume your JCO connection is showing with a red traffic light and you only have the option to create.

Go to your SLD and delete the JCO connection there. After that you should be able to recreate the JCO in the EP.

      Hello Tarun,

When you perform a migration you should cleanup the SLD entries and then register the system into the SLD again.

So delete the technical system EP1 in the SLD which should delete dependent CIM instances. Then register the system in the SLD again from your EP.

Just as a FYI, you will find the "defined name" in "content maintenance" on the Administration page.

    Hi Tarun,

After system migration from windows to rhel7 did you cleaned your SLD system for old windows entries? (Technical System, Content Maintenance)

    Thanks,

    Manish

After the migration have you set up the SLD configuration?

Check if the system is connecting to the SLD host without any issues.

Under NWA - Web Dynpro - Content Administrator check if the SLD connection test is OK

You can see all the JCo's there and check if they are working fine and if not you may modify them.

Check this wiki CREATING JCo DESTINATIONS - SAP Netweaver Application Server Java - SCN Wiki

    Hi Tarun,

Please check if your SLD data is updated after migration? You can check the SLD destination for the same.

    Thanks and Regards,
