0MATERIAL conversion exit

Hi all,

I am getting this error in one of the cube.

" Settings for material conversion not found". I went to rsd1 to check for 0material and when i said display it gives me same message, if i click on maintain it still give me same message. I checked that it is the problem with the code. I have to replace call function 'CONVERSION_EXIT_APLHA_INPUT' by 'CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN2_INPUT'. but now i dont know where can i go and do this and how does it affect in the all the cubes where I have 0MATERIAL.

Hi Raj

The default conversion exit for 0MATERIAL is MATN2.

in the 0MATERIAL defination check which converion exit is used?

Check this to MATN2.

Also as a work around check the length is same in R/3 and BW with the transaction OMSL

I am not getting where can i go and correct it like which tansaction code. if i go to rsd1 and 0material -> maintain it still gives me same error and exits me out.

dear Raj,

try if execute report (transaction se38) RSCC_V_TMCNV helps.

Set the length of 0MATERIAL and change conversion to alpha:

oss note 555675

Solution

Make the settings for the material number conversion.

In BW Release 2.1C, the settings are maintained for the material number conversion via report RSCC_V_TMCNV.

As of BW Release 3.0A, the settings are maintained for the material number conversion via transaction OMSL.

Select the same settings as the settings made in the OLTP system.

Note that you must also perform the setting in client 000 if the error occurred while you were importing a transport request.

Hi AHP,

when i execute the requestit asks me for Material no. length

What should be a good material length or do i have to consult the R/3 guys also for this?

When i run the RSCC_V_TMCNV, and input the the length as 18 and execute i get the screen which has these things:

What do i do there?

and when i run the transaction OMSL,

do i have to just input the length 18 and hit change and it says the data has been changed do you want to save and ask for transport numer..?

U go to info object tab in rsa1, there u select ur infoobject and right click and select change. here u can get option convers.rout in general tab, there u can can select matn2

In infoobject maintenance, there is conversion routine field. You need to mention MATN2 there in this case.
