Open ODS View Issue in SAP BW 7.5 on HANA

Hello Folks,

I am getting an Error while accessing data through Open ODS View.

Open ODS View created based on APO Planning area as Data Sources.

If I am running extractor check ( RSA3 ) in APO it is working and extracting data with planning version selection, but if I am trying to view the data in Open ODS View with the same planning version selection, I get below error message.

Is there any setting I am missing hear while creating/accessing.. please let me know....

Additional info: 1) When I try to extract data via infopackage with same datasource it works.

                       2) Virtual provider on the same datasource also works and we are able to see data.

Hi All,

Did anyone find the solution here please.I have same issues when i create open ods view on remote datasource in APO.This Standard datasource has Planning version as mandatory field.

Hi Harish,

         What is the datasource used here?, if you have used SAP HANA table as the datasource. You need to make sure that the user has the previliges to view the data from the underlying table.

You can execute the following SQL statement in the HANA system SQL console.

Grant Select on table to _SYS_REPO with Grant option.

Replace the table name along with the schema name in the above SQL statement and execute. This will provide the Select rights to the system user.

                 Can you just double click on the error message 'Error reading the data of infoprovider ****'

so that we can see what issue is exactly occuring?
