SRM UI Add-On does not open in IE11

Hello,

i would like to submit one issue which I face with SRM UI Add-On using IE11.

Our SRM release is SRM 7.0 EhP4, so SRMNXP component is release 150 (SP02).

When I click onto “Shop” button using IE11 as web browser, a new window is opened, but this window remains blank.

If I do the same with Chrome, SRM UI Add-On is correctly launched.

The only way I found to open correctly the window with IE11 is to use the F12 development tool.

Indeed, when blank window is launched, I click F12. Here, I can noticed document mode is 8 (whereas in /SRMNXP/SHOPPINGCART BSP, index.htm and default.htm have the correct tag

<meta content="IE=edge" http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible">).

So, I have to switch to Edge or 10, then I reload the page (CTRL + F5). Finally the default screen for SRM UI Add-On is launched…

I created an external alias for ICF service sap > bc > bsp > srmnxp > shoppingcart in order to add service parameter SAP-IE = Edge.

This has no effect…

Does anyone face the same problem?

Hi Laurent,

We're operating with SRM 7 EhP3, not EhP4, so perhaps it's a bit different, but we are successfully using the UI Add-On with IE11. For a while we forced the browser into Enterprise mode, but we aren't doing that anymore, and the browser is opening in Edge document mode successfully.

Have a look in your IMG: SAP Web Application Server -> UI Technologies -> SAP NetWeaver Business Client -> Assign Parameter Values. Set parameter FORCE_BROWSER_STANDARD_MODE to value "/ui5_ui5/|/sap/public/bc/ui2/|/srmnxp/" (without the quotes) and see if that helps. If I recall correctly, that's what did it for us.

Just one precision, i use NetWeaver Business Client for HTML (release 3.5.2.34), not the Enterprise Portal...
