Excel Add-on: Possibilities of lock cells

Hi Experts,

We are configuring some Planning Views in our environment. And we would like to know if it is possible to lock one cell with its data based on specific Product Combination.

Let me give you an example to explain better. We have a Product Family with 2 products: A and B. We know that the demand of Product A will be 2000 units next year and 1000 units for Product B next year. As we know 100% sure that the demand of Product A will be 2000, we would like to lock this cell of Product A (so it cannot change with future planning). Then if the commercial team plan at Product Family level 5000 units, the system should keep the same quantity in Product A (2000), and the rest in Product B (3000).

Is this possibility available in IBP? We know that this option is available in APO. But we don't know how to do it in IBP.

We are using IBP Excel Add-on 6.2.3

Thanks,

David.

Hi David,

this feature is not yet available in IBP. It is planned for one of the next releases.

My current best guess is that is is availble in Q2/2017. But this is just my guess, no commitment...

Best regards,

Rainer

Hi Rainer,

Thanks for your answer, is there any workaround to do something similar in IBP?

Thanks,

David.

I'm not aware of a workaround.

But maybe somebody else in this community has an idea...

Best regards,

Rainer
