Locked Records

Hi all

I have doubt on Lock records.For couple of PERNRs Lock indicator(Lock symbol) is not visible when i check through PA20---overview-(Refer attached the screen one) but Lock symbol is visible if i go pa20-display-Lock indicator is visible.Refer screen 2.

Why the lock indicator is not visible in Overview mode.

    what do u mean by locking record manually? I know only goto PA30-select the record which we need to lock-select lock-save-record locked.

    What is actually manually locking ? i will test that also and see how SPRPS field populate

    It's IT0167 (Health Plans), but it happens even for many PA info types also.Sorry i missed this statement in my post

    In addition to above issue, if i check SE16,PA0167 Lock indicator field (SPRPS) displays as P genrally it should be X.Is there any difference between Lock indicator P and Lock indicator X.

    In PA,i have noticed for IT006 subtype 4.

      I guess the indicator P is possible why the locked icon does not reflect on the Overview screen. Could you check if it's the same for IT 6 sty 4 also?

      I haven't come across this indicator before, are you aware if the record was locked manually or created as a locked record to begin with?

    Actually this record is not created/Locked by USER, its created/Locked by employee itself through ESS portal.I could find USER ID of employee in the field UNAME. is it something employee have Lock authorization?
