Queries in S_P00_07000139 - stock card and inventory material report

Hi,

I am almost okay with the report S_P00_07000139 as it shows Receiving plant and Receiving Storage loc. but after transferring materials the entries are being shown twice, one on issue side and same thing again on receipt side. I understand that movement is within a plant so it shows the receipt entry again but my concern is that it makes Balance quantity incorrect.

even though if i pass the issuing location as a selection parameter, the report shows the balance quantity wrong as it picks up the addition of all quantities of the movement in a plant.

in my case, i have transferred quantities to two storage locations 1360 and 1440 within a plant and it results in closing stock ZERO at 1010 which is "From storage location".

when i go through the report S_P00_07000139 it is showing two spare lines and makes the Balance quantity incorrect.

i am wondering -

1- i do not get to see last two lines with the report output. the snapshot is attached(1a & 1b).

2-  i get to see right quantity of balance if i pass issuing storage location as a selection parameter. the snapshot (2b) is attached.

Hi Sanjay,

My understanding is that you have transferred 1 qty from 1360 to 1010 and 3 qty from 1440 to 1010. So, the issue from Sloc 1360 is 1 and receipt in Sloc 1010 is 1. similarly, the issue from Sloc 1440 is 3 and receipt in Sloc 1010 is 3.

At the end of the day, you have 4 qty in the Plant 1010 and the balance quantity should be 4. Could you explain how did you arrive that the balance quantity should be Zero?

no Rosh, i have transferred 1 qty from 1010 to 1360 and 3 from 1010 to 1440. so, the issue from Sloc 1010 is 1 and receipt in Sloc 1360 is 1. similarly, the issue from Sloc 1010 is 3 and receipt in Sloc 1440 is 3.

Now, I have zero quantity in Sloc 1010 but in the same plant I have 4 quantities, 3 in 1440 and 1 in 1360.

my desired output is:

the balance must be zero in 1010 Sloc. like it is showing well up to 3rd line in the report but after 3rd line, there are two lines again which client is not happy with.

Hi Sanjay,

The additional line generated in the report might be due to the movement type you choose. The actual process is transfer posting between storage locations and the suitable movement is 311 Q but you have used 301 Q which is used to transfer stocks between Plants. Hence the system generated separate line with supplying and receiving plant, could be avoided if 311 movement type is used.

exactly! that might be cause. well, very thanks for correcting my movement type.

now what i did is i reversed those two material documents and posted again with correct movement type i.e. 311 and i am going through report it is showing 8 more entries which are 4+4 cancelled and new posted documents. is there any possibility that i may come to see this report with not showing cancelled documents and finally come up seeing zero at 1010 Sloc (the real situation of warehouse 1010) ?

Hi,

The report show material movements with movement type where you find stock with plant and storage location combination.

You can refer your report on material 1000001187 with indicator Q  in t.code MB5B where you can find detailed stock with movement types  with storage location with - and + sign.

no, mb5b also adds up quantities if i reverse gr document and post again. look, in my case i reversed 4 quantities and did gr again for those same 4 quantities. now in mb5b it shows 8+ and 8-. that's the issue!

moreover, mb5b doesn't show you receiving plant and receiving sloc. hence i am going through S__00_P07000139 report.

Include movement type in the layout and filter.

I do not think issue are related as report with S_P00_07000139 execution  tracks the material movements with movement types for plant and storage locations  with reference document.

Hi Rosh,

including movement type in the layout and filtering it was helpful to some extent but the value in 'Balance Qty' would no way get updated by filtering reversal movement type as the system adds the quantities in issuing location as a receipt balance after reversal of a document. this is standard behaviour of system and i don't think i would get the desired output in Balance Qty.

still if there is any possibility towards this, your valuable suggestion would be very helpful.
