QIRF_NOTIFY_FUNCTION- Any good information/examples/help?

Hello,

Does anybody have any good information/examples on how the QIRF_NOTIFY_FUNCTION function of the QM-IDI system/interface is used? The documentation I found wasn't that clear to me. Is it called by the external system --> SAP or by SAP --> external system?

Hi Christian,

This function module QIRF_NOTIFY_FUNCTION is used to send the work list from SAP to the sub system(s).

But, if you see the function module itself, it doesn't contains any code actually. It is the function module to be used as a copy reference and create your own function module to send the work list to single/multiple subsystem.

  Do you know if we have to implement the call to the external system in the module or will SAP make the rfc call to the remote system defined in the Destination field in the configuration?

I have found that you do need to make your own RFC call from within your own implementation of the notify function.
