Table select dialog vs Table

Hello Experts,

As per my understanding both TableSelectDialog and Table are controls of sap.m and it should work in a same way when we pass the items to the columns of the table. But in my case ,when i bind the data to the Table i got the Ouptut as shown below

while binding the same data to the TableSelectDialog control ,i am getting blank screen.

Can anyone explain me here why TableSelectDialog functionality worked differently while passing the same data to the core?

I attached my code.Kindly look in to it.

Thanks in Advance 😊

Regards,

Anand.

    Anand,

the code looks correct and i also compared it to the sdk code... do you have any js error on the console ? perhaps a caching issue?

    Hi Anand,

Why do you want to use TableSelectDialog instead of table in normal page content? Any specific reason behind this?

Did you also tried using a simple Dialog control (sap.m.Dialog) in page content and checked whether it displayed? Even Dialog properties / aggregations are similar to different controls.

If that doesn't work, then TableSelectDialog also doesn't work. Simple!

You can investigate it thoroughly, if you can go through the source code.

    • Hi Sai,

The main reason here to use tableselectdialog control instead of table is to filter the records based on search index and coming to Dialog control i have tried but its taking only two columns as my table contains 5.This is the reason i am trying to use tableselectdialog in my program.

      Thanks&Regards,

      Anand.
