Running Crystal Reports on Windows 2012R2 remote desktop with drive policy

Hi all,

We are running Crystal Reports on a remote desktop implementation for our clients. As it's a multi-tenant environment, we secure the local drive access through GPO. For all other applications, this works without a problem. However, for CR it causes the application to hang whenever a file dialogue box is opened. We have looked for a way to change the default file open location to the user's profile drive, but have been unsuccessful so far.

Anyone have any ideas or workarounds for this? We want a secure environment, but the only way to allow it to work currently is to not lockdown the C drive.

Try changing the %Users%\temp folder to a drive that is not locked down. Or give them full access to it.

CR requires full admin rights to temp folder and resources on the C drive.
