Statistical Forecast Error in customized version

Hi Experts,

I am using Unified Planning Area in IBP 6. I have customized a version called FLEX Version where I have included the Keyfigures such as ACTUALSQTY(standard keyfig), ADJUSTEDACTUALSQTY(customized Keyfig) and STATISTICALFORECASTQTY(std Keyfig). I have created a forecast model MOVING AVERAGE which would take ADJUSTEDACTUALSQTY as input and generate the Stat Forecast result in STATISTICALFORECASTQTY. When I am running Stat Forecast in Baseline Version it is working properly and the result is also getting generated. But when I am running the Statistical Forecast in FLEX Version it is giving an error. I have added all the mentioned Keyfigures in FLEX Version. Can anyone suggest why I am getting the error? I have added screenshots of my Version Configuration and also the error that I am facing

Hi Sanjit,

Is the input key figure ZADJUSTEDACTUALSQTY a stored kf? If yes, then make sure version copy is run for this key figure.  If not, then i guess it must be getting calculated from ACTUALSQTY which is marked as baseline specific key figure in version FLEX. You can try making it as version specific key figure and then perform a version copy before running statistical forecast.

Thanks,

Hi Rohit,

According to my configuration ZADJUSTEDACTUALSQTY is stored and calculated. It is just acting as an override of ACTUALSQTY. Since ACTUALSQTY is defined as Baseline Version Keyfig in FLEX Version I am automatically getting data in it in FLEX Version also.As a result I am getting data in ZADJUSTEDACTUALSQTY in Flex Version also(since it is override of ACTUALSQTY). Even though data is there in ZADJUSTEDACTUALSQTY still Stat Forecast is giving error. I have attached configuration screenshot of Keyfig ZADJUSTEDACTUALSQTY for your reference.

Hi Sanjit,

I don't think that this will solve your current issue, but I suggest the follwing changes to the key figure modeling in order to avoid other issues:

1) Change the aggregation mode from "Sum" to "Custom" as the aggregation is more than just summing up

2) Enter UOMCONVESRIONFACTOR in the "Convert Using" field.

Best regards,

Rainer
