Sort key for Shipment number

Hello Friends,


We will need to populate Shipment number in Assignment field. As Shipment number is filled in Text field, I created key to bring it from Text field to Assignment field. Now, We noticed that the shipment number is not in the text field of all the transaction related to this shipment.

Can you pls let me know the fields where Shipment number is preferably populated. So that I will check how those fields are filled.

    Hello Friends,

    Shipment number is filled in Header Text in Header Data;

    Material Short Text in Line items;

    Material in Material, Text in Where tabs in Material document

    through Maintain Service Entry Sheet, ML81.

    However, I do not find any of these Logistic related fields in Sort key creation.

    Can you pls give me your inputs how Shipment number is brought to Assignment field from these fields.
