Not receiving email notifications of some of the alerts on Solution Manager (Technical Monitoring)

Hi All

I'm new in SAP. Please assist as this is quite URGENT!!

I have been investigating on how to configure the data collection as I think that it is the one that has the problem. I did an individual test on the metrics for Data Collection and I have noticed that those Metrics that do not return an RFC destination after testing are those that do not trigger an email notification to the recipients as we (recipients) do not receive them but all those that return an RFC destination are being triggered and we receive them.

Attached screenshots are the example of the metric that return an RFC and the Metric that does not return an RFC.

I have tested the RFC Destination returned on Solution Manager and its working fine.

I do think the problem is with the Data Collector. When I tested other metrics on Data Collection, I received the ff errors:

Errors:

No data found for "R3EndedWpENQ"

BIMETRIC: no data found in BW (infoprovider 0SMD_EA1H)

No data found for "R3EnqueueQueueLength

No data found in BW (infoprovider 0CCMAW)

Looking at the name, it tells me this metric is coming from local CCMS ~ transaction RZ20 in your managed SAP system so you can check transaction RZ20 in that system and look for the element with technical name R3EndedWpEnq in monitor 'SAP CCMS TechnicaL Expert Monitors' - 'All Monitoring Contexts'. Then use views - MTE info to get the technical names, expand all on the top node and then you can use search to find R3EndedWpEnq.

If the element is green and it has a value being reported, Technical Monitoring should be able to pick up the value from the managed SAP system.

No data found in BW is a logical next error since no data is being gathered, no data can be stored in BW.

You can use MAI_TOOLS transaction in SAP Solution Manager to test the fetch of this specific CCMS MTE also so that would also be something I would do to troubleshoot this situation.
