Can a work order be created without attaching a func loc or equipment

Hi All,

Kindly suggest if we can create a work order in plant maintenance without attaching a functional location or equipment.

And how is the cost flow in the work order.

    Hi,

    Yes, its possible in SAP.

    Cost flows will happen as usual, except it will not have any reference technical object. Settlement rule can be created and settled.

    We put restrictions in place, not to create a Notification / order without a technical object.

      Hi,

      In reality, this should not occur. If this is related to Admin Building or so, then you should have catered in the functional Location master data. It defers from client to client.

      Else this could be due to some user mistake who didn't even the process of creating order or assigning technical objects to order.

      I have experienced this after the implementation due to lack of user knowlege, this can happen.
