How to get a 4 digit number value by filtering in the filter pane

Hello!

Environment: SAP BI Platform 4.1 SP6 Patch 4

Tool: Web Intelligence

My requirement is to get values which has only 4 numbers by filtering the object in the query filter pane.

Sample list of values are

Object 1

0123

A248

AZXY

002134579

6345

NULL

Output that I need is

0123

6345

I tried underscore but I get

0123

A248

AZXY

6345

NULL

I'm looking for a way in the filter pane only.

Thanks in advance for your time and effort!

MK

I don't think so you can handle this by only from webi query filter level only.

Check other options from universe side if you can use custom LOV to segregate the values..

      Hi,

I also don't think that there is a way we can do that unless you have tweaked something at Universe level.

However, you can pull data on report level and then create a dimension like below.

      =If Not(IsError(ToNumber([Data]))) And Length([Data])=4 Then [Data]

and then you can use this dimension as an input control to filter out the data at report level.

      Regards

    Hi MK,

    Try creating variable

    =If Not(IsError(ToNumber([Object 1]))) And Length([Object 1])=4 Then 1 Else 0

Then filter on Variable =1, hope this works

    Thanks,

    Nikhil
