I have an issue with finite scheduling of my service orders. I have set-up the work centre capacity flagged for finite scheduling without overload. Capacity set for 3 resources 75% efficiency in daytime shift giving 1620 minutes capacity per day. In customizing tcode OIOI for ordertype and plant on activity release order i have unflagged the no check for capacity availability with overall profile SAPPM_G013 and user decision if capacity is insufficient. In tcode OPU7 flagged automatic scheduling and automatic log. Used scheduling type forwards in time with update of basic dates based on operations. When i check CM01 i have already an overload. When new order is created and released for same week overload is increasing and the dialogue box for finite scheduling is not shown.
My question is now why do i miss the dialogue box and why is finite scheduling not working. Did i miss an important setting if so which one.

Hi Bram de Waard,
I think that you are not making the capacity availability for the orders. If it goes creating orders in the same date will give same overload. You need to do CRP in the tcodes CM33 or CM34, CM25 or ...

Can you indicate what i should do in these transactions. I do not want to despatch the operation at this moment. I can only use these transactions as refernece. I prefer the overview of CM01 but then adjusted through the settings to a day view which gives me an insight in my overload per day.
Still strugling with the profiles. This because with the finite scheduling is only active after one week of today. I miss one week of warnings. How can this be solved?

Hi,
You are not working with finite scheduling. Because you are not making the dispatching (because you don't make CRP and OIOI this turned off CRP)
CM01 - only capacity evaluation
Where you are seeing: the dialogues box goes finite scheduling i not shown ?
Please show me yours screens..

Thanks for your reply. The flags you indicated have been flagged as indicated in your screen shot.
Noticed that when i schedule the order next week which is also causing an overload i do get the dialogue box for finite scheduling. Can i influence this so that it also shows up when i get an overload for oredrs planned this week and if so which profile should i adjust
thanks

In the Capacity Header screen of the work centre, which of the 3 check-boxes are active at the bottom of the screen?
