Hi Everyone,

May be this question asked few times but I didn't came to get a conclusion.

Briefing my background.

I am having around 9 years of SAP ABAP experience.

Now need to upgrade my skills.

I am planning to learn  either SAP UI5 (FIORI) or SAP BW/BI 7.5 ON HANA

Which is best among them and which is suited better for me and having bright scope in future.

And doing coding all these years felling little bored. And I am  38 years old.

I am interested  in onsite opportunities.

Please give suggestions.

Regards

Raj

Hi Raj,

Both involves coding,if you are bored with coding I will suggest you to learn functional modules.

Saurabh.

Thank you for the reply Saurabh.

As per your thing...If i learn functional then I am fresher to the functional modules.

Whether it can add any advantage to my existing ABAP experience.

And also whether can i cope up with the current functional guys...

I am not that much hesitate to do coding, But sometimes.

what's your opinion on SAP UI5 (FIORI) or SAP BW/BI 7.5 ON HANA

As a ABAP background  and i didn't have knowledge in BI/BW...which above two courses will suit me.

Dear Raj,

Both are suitable for ABAP and both are good.

It does not matter which one you learn, what matters is on which one you would get an opportunity to work.

See the future Projects in your company and you will know in which one you would have a fair chance to work. So learn that accordingly.

All the best.

As rightly said by sajid, you should look if there are any opportunities provided by your company to work in those modules.

You can learn new things but it is of no use until it is implemented...
