Work Center in Location Tab of Notification

Hi Experts,

In my system I can see that in Notification in location data tab there is work center (field ARBPL) and this is mandatory.

We don't want integration here with production work center and capacity planning. So don't want to maintain any value in this field. I checked my config settings but not getting anyway to make it optional (non-mandatory).

Please suggest .

    Hi,

    In addition to above suggestions, follow below simple steps to make work center field optional

    Step-1 Work center is mandatory, since work center field selection is set in required button as shown in step-4.

    Step-2 Select t-code OIAZ and follow below steps

    Step-3

    Step-4 Selection is in required button

    Step-5 Change work center field set button from required to input as show below & save.

    Step-6 Below you can see work center field as become optional.

    It is the tcode OIAZ in spro

    OR

    the following spro path, where you will be able to change the setting.

    ARBPL is the last field in the list. You may need to go to influencing fields (Notification type) to search the present Mandatory setting)

    Hi Sumit,

    Is the Work Centre field mandatory when you click the Location Tab or it stops saving notification without going into the tab ?

    If it triggers only when you click the Location tab, then it could be field selection through OIAZ (has per Jogeswara comment)

    If it triggers when you save the notification without clicking the location tab, then it could be due to User Exit. For this you need to contact your abaper.

    Hi Sumit,

    To make work center field optional, as suggested using t-code OIAZ you can make field optional for this you need to use influencing , wherein this will influence only in notification and not in other area like order type, etc.
