After archiving the messages in SAP PI the space is not reflecting

Hello Experts,

We are using SAP PI 7.4 Java stack with SP12 latest patches.

We have started archiving the messages in our PI system.

More than 7 lakhs messages got archived with almost 55 GB of xml data.

Here database space should get decreased but it is not reflecting.

It is same as it is. Do we need to do any Reorganization activity at DB end.

Please help it out.

    Hi Ganesh.

    Yes, during off time you can perform the reorg.

    Hi Ganesh,

    Oracle databases need reorganization after archival. Check SAP Note 646681.
