Solman 7.1 SPS 14 SUM certifcate error although there is a valid cert

Hello,

I am applying SPS 14 on the java stack of a Solman 7.1 with the SUM 1.0 SP 7.

I have the following error:

Aug 16, 2016 2:06:44 PM [Error ]: The following problem has occurred during step execution: com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DiagException: Validation of deployment queue completed with error: No valid Maintenance Certificate found on AS Java with SID XXX.

For more information, refer to  SAP Note 1236587 .

Error during validation. Detailed message is All selected SDAs and SCAs have already been deployed before..

When I connect to the Java AS, it seems to be ok.

-> /usr/sap/XXX/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/admin/go

--> Server 0 -> Services -> Licensing Adapter

---> SID Maintenance

There is a valid maintenance_ORA license

What am I missing?
How should I proceed to diagnose my problem?

To troubleshoot the problem use the provided information. An SAP Note may provide a solution to this problem. Search for SAP Noteswith the following keywords:

SUM  configure  create-queue  show-validation-result  com.sap.sdt.jspm.service.JspmService  class com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DiagException

You may now do one of the following:

• Repeat step from point of failure. After you have corrected the error, you can repeat the step from the exact point where the error occurred.

Repeat

Repeat step from point of failure with maximum tracing level

Choose Cancel to shut down the SUM process and user interface.

Check if note 2233263 - SUM: update SHOW_VALIDATION_RESULT -"All selected SDAs and SCAs have already been deployed before" helps or not.

Dear Benoît,

Hope you are doing good.

Are you sure you are using the right licenses cause we have seen such cases when the licensing adaptor rejects the cert as this is not valid for the SID.

Please see note 953302 - License key in dual-stack installation

How to select the license types is explained in the following note:

- #94998 - Requesting license keys and deleting systems (page 2/3)

Here are the information:

    o  Standard: This type applies to all systems that have been

       installed on the SAP Web Application Server ABAP. It also applies

       to SAP J2EE Engine add-in installations and Enterprise Portal 6.0

       systems (as of Support Package 9) that have been installed on the

       ABAP stack.

    o  J2EE: This type applies to SAP J2EE Engine standalone systems and

       Enterprise Portal 6.0 systems (as of Support Package 9) that have

       been installed on the Java stack.

Hello,

I have used a license type standard as documented in Note 953302.

Therfore it shoudl be ok.

Are there any command line tools to check the certificate.

You can use SAPLIKEY to check:

License Administration at Operating System Level with Program saplikey - SAP Licensing Procedure - S...

Also check : SAP Note No. 1312413:  Enhanced Checks for License Management

It looks like I am facing this bug.

When I try to apply the SPS 14 with an xml file, as documented in note 2233263,

it wants to apply Abap and Java part -> Great 🙂

How can I apply only the java stack sps with SUM 1.0 SP17?

Note 2184647 says that we should use the javaonly option.

But this option does not work with SUM 1.0SP17 -> Great 🙂

Patching this Solman is a nightmare 🙂

This is not relevant because the certificate is valid.

I will create a new thread as the problem is identified and I have a new problem...
