Best Time management approach

Dear Members,

I need the expert advice on the situation below.

My client is having a negative time management (status - 7) build in the system.

Absences quotas are generated every month by rptqta00.

leaves are availed by ESS/MSS.

Now.

The client want to integrate CISCO time terminal time in / time out data with SAP HR to have only reporting of time data ,and no integration with payroll

After having the reporting if they want to deduct any one salary based upon the time data they will do manual entry in HR for deduction.

As said above.

1. What should be the approach of building the system ( should we go for positive time management implementation).

i. if we go for positive time management is there any need to change the time management status from 7 to 2 or not required. as there is no

integration needed.

ii. will there be any changes to time schema as there is no need to deduct and calculate time for payroll deduction.

2. If this is only for reporting purposes what will be the benefit out of this implementation to client bringing the data from CISCO and updating the HR time management system.

Please elaborate more and more for point 1 and 2 for my understanding.
