GROUP NODE COUNTER IN PLPO TABLE

Hi All,

Please help me in the following situation.

For a Material X-100,

1. We created routing with task list type 'N' who's GROUP is 50001550.

2. The Group has alternative routing with Group Counter '1' (with two operations) and '2' (with two operations).

3. In SE16N ----> PLPO table, I gave GROUP as 50001550.

4. System output is 4 Records.

5. For all four records, Group is 50001550 same.

6. But i found, two columns NODE (PLNKN) and COUNTER (ZAEHL) with values as 1 , 2 , 3 and 4. Note values of PLNKN = ZAEHL.

ARBID (Object ID) groups all the NODES and COUNTER which belongs to one common Group Counter in Routing.

For the above case, i can able to see two Object ID in PLPO table namely 10002165 and 10002167.

Requirement :

How to identify, to which Group Counter these ARBID (Object ID) belongs to ?

What is Node and Counter ?

When will system generates Node and Counter ?

What is the difference between Group Counter and Counter ?

I referred some SCN threads but not actually helped.

Also, from SCN threads, i came to know that PLPO-VPLAL = PLKO-PLNAL, but PLPO-VPLAL table-field is EMPTY ? Why So ?

Regards,

Dinesh Kumar V.

    Hello,

Have you created the routing with reference operation set?

    Hi Dinesh,

There is no direct relation between routing Group counter- PLNAL in PLPO table.

The relation is PLKO-PLNAL to PLAS-PLANL and PLAS-PLNKN to PLPO-PLNKN.

If you want to find out which operation belongs to which group counter, then flow is from PLPO to PLAS to PLKO to MAPL.

How to identify, to which Group Counter these ARBID (Object ID) belongs to ?

Pass respective ARBID's PLNKN and PLNNR from PLPO to PLAS table there you will get PLNAL (Group Counter)

What is Node and Counter ? ----

Node is internal no range join between PLAS and PLPO, PLMK,PLMZ. Counter ZAEHL is internal counter for the respective tables only. There is no relation between PLKO-ZAEHL to PLPO-ZAEHL.

When will system generates Node and Counter ?----

Counter ZAEHL is updating when you change some data with respect to individual tables.

Node is updating when you are creating operations, irrespective of Group counters. its relating to Group no.

What is the difference between Group Counter and Counter ?

Group counter is the alternate counter of routing. And again there is no relation between Counter ZAEHL to Group counter PLNAL.
