Is WebIDE support for on-premise Git available now?

Hello Experts,

Our client has on-premise Git Repository and we need to use that for code  management. I checked existing SCN posts and found that WebIDE integration with on-premise Git repository is not yet provided by SAP. Also I checked all recent releases of WebIDE and did not find any updates on this. Can someone share details in case they have?

Is WebIDE support for on-premise Git available now? if yes, can you please share link to documentation?

If not, how can this be achieved? I read in one of the posts that section "HCP Git to GitHub" of this blog can help-->

http://scn.sap.com/community/abap/connectivity/blog/2015/09/07/abap-push-channel-messaging-channel-a....

Has anyone used it?

Regards,

Vikrant

If you look at the latest roadmap for WebIDE (from middle of July) you can see it is still in a planned status.

There is no specific date mentioned there but I would expect it fairly soon.

Hello Vikrant,

On-premise Git is not supported directly from the SAP Web IDE. It is in the SAP Web IDE roadmap, but I cannot share the expected time line.

As you probably read in various SCN blogs (e.g. ), SAP Web IDE can use a publicly available Git service as its project repository. You can probably have a workaround that automatically synchronizes the public Git with the on-premise Git. This kind of workaround does not involve SAP components.

The blog you mentioned showed a similar approach using the HCP Git instead of a public Git.

Raz
