Database Password in DB Profile

Hi,

Powerbuilder doesn't save the db password. I can write it and close the edit but can't connect wile error "null password given..."

On witch place can I set this manual?

"Powerbuilder 12.5.2 with Windows 10"

But Powerbuilder 12.6 works.

    Hi Andre;

    Can you try running your PB 12.5.2 IDE as "Administrator" and see if that solves your password save issue?

    If you have a profile that has the password saved and it is the same value you could do this:

    Run Regedit and go to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sybase\PowerBuilder\12.5\DatabaseProfiles\PowerBuilder

    Copy the value for LogPass from the good profile to the bad one.

    Hi Andre;

    Just another random thought ... What about booting W10 into "Safe Mode"? Then launch the PB IDE & see if it will now save the DB Password in the DB Profile painter?

    The thinking here is that some other software (like your antivirus) might be blocking the change.
