How to model the Labor and machine Capacity in work center and to have scheduling based on both the categories?

Dear Experts,

Firstly this is my first discussion positing, my apologies if i made any mistake in placing this question in a wrong forum. We have a business case where in for a specific mixing operation we utilize 25.5 hours of machine and 1 hour of labor. The machine is 24 X7 and labor is restricted for 8 hours working time. I have included both the machine category 001 and labor category 002 in the work center capacity tab and provided machine category 001 in the scheduling tab since the machine runs longer than labor though labor is the bottleneck.

Please see the work center definition in the figure 1

Scheduling tab refer to the Figure 2

We have a product : ABC

Operation Mixing 0100 : Mixing of chemicals

Machine time : 25.5 hours

Labor time : 1 hour (Initial 1 hour to set the PLC and define the various parameters)

The operation need to be scheduled in labor working hours once the inital 1 hour labor work is done the machine run overnight unattended.

Please refer to the routing data in figure 3

The question i have in this context is

1) When i review the CM25 for capacity leveling and dispatch i see both the machine and labor bars shown for 25.5 hours this may be due to the scheduling is done based on machine category. What i see is capacity loading is happening for labor for 1 hour but the CM25 scheduling blocks out labor for 25.5 hours which is misleading rather a confusion for me. Logically the labor is for 1 hour how can we get the scheduling to show 1 hour labor thought the machine can be scheduled for 25.5 hours?

Please see CM25 output figure 4

To support my argument would like to provide an example. Say if start the chemical mixing operation on 09/14 @ 06:30 AM it will run until 09/15 08AM

Machine runs 09/14 06:30 till 9/15 08:00 AM

Labor runs 09/14 06:30 till 9/14 07:30 AM

Can you please help me how to model this kind of operation in the routing that has to track both labor and machine and from scheduling point of view need to have a clear visibility in CM25 for each of the labor and machine based on the cycle times defined in routing. Since I am very new to SAP and coming from Oracle background i am trying to understand how we can model this business case.

Any inputs and guidance by experts will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Kapila
