BI Std Content (HANA-Optimized) - Transformations missing from Data Source to CM and InfoSource

Hi,

     I have installed HANA-Optimized Financial Standard Business Content in BW and noticed that there doesn't seem to be any Transformations from DataSource to the Corporate Memory ADSOs or the InfoSource.  I see this in 4 different areas (GL/CCA/PCA/FAA)

Does anyone else see this as well and does anyone know why this would be?

Anyone know why Business Content is not providing Transformations from DataSource to InfoSource and Corporate Memory?

Hello Kenneth Murray,

BI content optimized for Hana provides transformations from infosource to Corporate memory only.

It doesn't provide the following transformations :

• datasource to corporate memory in 1 step
• datasource to advanced dso staging layer
• datasource to infosource

Al the business rules provided by sap in BI Content optimized for Hana are in the transformation from InfoSource to Corporate Memory. You just need to link your datasource to infosource in 1:1.

So you should have the following flow in order to fill the corporate memory :

datasource -> infosource -> corporate memory

datasource to infosource : 1:1 mapping

infosource to corporate  memory : use BI Content transformation

=> means you fill the corporate memory in 2 steps

If you want to apply the same rules to the propagation layer (not the corporate memory, but advance DSO provided in BI opt content), you should link it to the infosource and use the same rules that apply to the transformation from infosource to corporate memory. Both are filled in parallel and not in sequence.

I don't understand your statement "infosource to corporate memory : use BI Content transformation"

From what I see for HANA-Optimized Business Content it's always just the InfoSource to the EDW Layer Advanced DWO.  See following link: FI-AA: DataFlow

1. DataSource to InfoSource to EDW ADSO

2. DataSource to Corporate Memory to InfoSource to EDW ADSO

Can you validate?

I don't have a system available to check but I implemented BI content on SD and i think its the same concepts.

I think i made confusion in my initial post. According to the flow presented in your link all the business rules provided by sap should be in the transformation from infosource to EDW core layer advanced DSO. So do you have that transformation available in your BI content ?

From that point the following transformations that you pointed out should be mapped 1:1 and might not be available in BI content :

• datasource to infosource
• datasource to corporate memory
• ( +++ corporate memory to infosource)

Corporate memory is an image of transactionnal system and should not be transformed. It can be used for reconstruction of EDW core layer without sollicitation of source system.

Please confirm if you have transformation from infosource to EDW core layer please and it should be ok.
