IW_PGW Process Gateway for MM Approve PO, PR Apps

Hello All,

Just to get it confirmed, I would like to know if the component IW_PGW (Process Gateway) is must to implement the  Standard SAP Provided MM Applications  such as Approve PR and Approve PO.

I think the Workflow details are fetched using the TaskProcessing  V2 OData Service which is part of the Process Gateway.

We are on ECC 6.0 EHP 7 and our system component details are shown below.

SAP_UI              740 0012

SAP_GWFND      740 0010

UIX01EAP        100  0008

GBAPP002        600  0009

From the Fiori Apps reference library and in the App Implementation section this information is missing.

Kindly let me know if the IW_PGW component is must to implement the Approve PR and Approve PO applications or not.

No, IW_PGW is mandatory only if you are looking to implement the My Inbox app. For MM Approval apps like Approve Requisitions, Approve PO etc. IW_PGW component is not required. These apps have their own individual OData services (GBAPP_PRAPPROVAL, GBAPP_POAPPROVAL etc) which are part of the component GBAPP002 600.
