cost center assign profit center

Hi EXpert,

Good Morning!!!

I have some documents coming from FI posting. which posted with cost objects - cost center and we have assign all cost center to Profit Center. when I go to FAGLFLEXA Table , I have get the Profit center wht about Cost center, why not appear along with Cost center.

Pranav,

Is this issue in your test system or production system, as Aleksey suggested did you assign the scenarios in Financial Accounting (New)--> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New)--> Ledgers--> Assign Scenarios and Customer Fields to Ledgers--> FIN_PCA, FIN_CONS.

I am assuming that this is in your test system.

Production System only.

assign scenarios and customer fields to Ledgers is not assign FIN_PCA, FIN_CONS

that we need to check will update you.

but Customer field  : REceiver filed is Blanck.

Hi, on you print screen 0L ledger. So you need to check assignment for 0L, and not FIN_PCA, FIN_CONS but for Cost Center scenario

The scenario  FIN_CONS should be there, then only the cost center will update in FAGLFLEXA.

FIN_CONS do nothing with Cost Center

You need FIN_CCA:

we have added the FIN_CCA,

again what I notice is while business transaction if we give cost center then Cost center as well Profit Center updated in FAGLFLEXA, I have book some Expenses in FB50. and we have book one Revenue sales along with Profit center . 2244 profit center assign with same cost center 2244.

but FAGLFLEXA table not updated.. while Revenue entry FB70 gives Warning Message if you save allow to save as well. we have all above screen shot.. see the below one bye one. still not updated cost center.

If you post to cost center, in FAGLFLEXA both cost center and profit center will update, while revenue booking you gave profit center only, and no need to give cost center, you can not book revenues to cost center, The system behavior is correct.

In the normal sales process profit center will pick from the material master.

Hi,

Without assignment of profit center center, we cannot create cost center.

Because of this assignment you will not find the cost centers for all the line items.

You find Cost center only when it is a main cost object.

Say if the main cost object is WBS cost object updated with WBS not with cost center.

Check the document in detail regards to cost object.

As per your screenshot, it is direct FI postings, check the Environment--> Document environment--> Original Document.

Do you have the cost center in the line item level?

Yes we have first checked cost center report in cost center report . I have clicked on line item profit center is assign . as I told you all cost center is assign to profit center .

this is direct FI Posting FB60 not originally document.

You mean to say that, cost center is there for those line items in FB03, but missing in FAGLFLEXA, Is it?

If yes, then its better to raise this issue to SAP.

We can create n number of Cost Center without Profit center. if I am not wrong. kindly correct me.

in screen shot u thinking not created cost center ryt. I have COVP Table in COVP table Cost CEnter is showing. but profit center not showing.

if I m doing wrong then correct me.

Pranav,

You should assign the profit center to cost center, in nutshell for all the cost objects then only in profit center level you will get accurate P&L, If you are doing this practice it is wrong and you have to correct it.

Pranav,

You have to assign the profit center to cost center in cost center master data KS02, then only once you done any postings to cost center it will automatically flow to profit center.

Check in your system for more details.

yes already assigned.. profit center to cost center in KS03 display.

My issues still not resolved. FAGLFLEXA table why not Cost CEnter showing even though Cost Center is captured while FI Posting. in GL ledger layout showing where cost center is there. but not reflected in FAGLFLEXA Table.. and one more doubt is while PO. GR or Sale Billing we are assigned Profit center not Cost CEnter. but again we have 4 Profit center and 30 Cost CEnter all 30 cost center assigned profit center .

Hi Pranav,

Are you in confusion....????  Don't get more confused.

Share the document screen from FB03  entry view and same document screen from the table.

If the cost center appeared in FB03 and not appearing in the table level is a problem.

Regarding your statement:

how is it possible......? 

For creating the CC master Profit center is mandatory.

Cost center also will update in FAGLFLEXA, may be you are checking teh B/S items, Cross check and let me know, if you need any help.

Hi,

RFBU refers to postings in FI.

Check the document in FB03, that might be Some JV posting ,or it will be part of clearing documents.
