I want to uninstall SAPJVM 4 off of my SAP ABAP server. Is there a de-installation program? Do I just delete the SAPJVM_4 folder and the JAVA_HOME environment variable?
We use Windows and there is no option under control panel to uninstall, and no option in sapinst that I could find to uninstall.
Thanks in advance!
Hi Clifton.
During the execution or any error in the phase of SAPJVM4 switch tool you can find the file name "SWITCHJDK" in that you can find the steps to revert the Java JDK.

Hello Clifton,
I guess you meant editing the JAVA_HOME variable. There is no need to delete that.
If no environmental variables and no applications refer to a JVM, it (the folder) can be deleted.
(SAP applications usually do not use OS environmental variables anyway. They use their own profile files and paths to reach the JVM.)

Hi Morris,
You can change SAP profile parameter "DIR_SAPJVM" in DEFAULT Profile, pointing to new SAPJVM directory.
Once you restart your instance, it should use new version of SAPJVM.
Usually SAPJVM is stored at "\usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\sapjvm_<version_number>" or similar folder.
Thanks.
