Experts,
Running BI 4.2 Support Pack 2 Patch 2
I am attempting to define a calculated key figure in BEx query, with an Exception Aggregation set on a characteristic that is lower than the level of aggregation I need to view in my Webi document.
I have attempted with BICS connection to Webi and I have also attempted to use the new 4.2 functionality to create a UNX on top of the BICS connection, and then build the Webi document on top of the UNX, ensuring the aggregation is Delegated. In both scenarios I am faced with the #UNAVAILABE error when trying to display any detail of my data. The free standing cell of the "exception aggregation characteristic" does show the proper number for full dataset, so I know it works, but it still seems to be having the issue where the OLAP engine does not know how to calculate it. Even when I bring the characteristic that is defined in the exception aggregation into the table, it does not resolve the #UNAVAILABLE error.
Has anyone successfully implemented Exception Aggregation from a BEx query across to a Webi document using any of the connection methods?
Has anyone successfully duplicated the Exception Aggregation functionality in Webi through some other method or function calling?
I have read in multiple threads that having the Universe layer can resolve this issue, but even with the new 4.2 functionality of creating a universe on top of a BICS OLAP connection, I still am unable to resolve.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
