Problem with Sub Report. The details include data for a different link

I created a Crystal Report that is linked to a sub report by field Patient-ID. The report works well when the results of the sub report is small and results fit on a single page but when it exceeds one page the sub report places the remaining data on a second page then places results for a different Patient-ID after that. I placed the sub report in the details section of the main report. Do I need to move it somewhere else or is there a configuration setting in Section Expert that needs to changed?

    Hi Hector,

Where you place the Subreport would depend on what kind of data you're trying to print inside the subreport.

If the Patient ID is a field on the Main Report's Details section, and if the Subreport needs to display data 'relative' to each Patient ID, then the subreport also needs to be on the Details.

You'd also need to make sure you've setup the correct links from the 'Change Subreport Links' option (Right-click the Subreport and you should that option).

      Hi Abhilash,

I think I figured it out. On the sub report I clicked on Section Expert - Details - Paging - New Page After "End of Section"

This made the report complete the page once the details completed and it placed the new patients demographic content on the top of a new page with the appropriate sub-report details.

Thanks so much for your assistance. I am new to this site and will leave the post opened until I have some additional validation. If it is ok would I click the "Mark as assumed answered" link?
