Error: an internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' API. (Error:ERR_WIS_30270)

Hi Experts,

One Report Only

Db2 data source.

Single Source universe

BOXI 4.1 SP6

We have recurring instance set on this report and set it to send a Failure Notification on first run and then retry after 60 sec.

This report fails daily at first run and then send an email and second retry it works fine.

Happens daily , Even If I save with different name and schedule it early morning when there is no load , this happens.

The Process DP error comes up ( One mentioned in subject ).the second run runs fine.

Same on adhoc refresh first refresh of the day will give the error second will refresh with no issues

Other reports on same Universe works fine , Scheduling with Admin right have the same issue.

We have two WIPS on the environment in which this happening

    Hi Kultar,

This error happens in most of the times for different reasons.

Most of the times its happening due to the prompts in the reports. You can try the below.

    1) Open the report in Applet mode (both View and Modify) and see the behavior. We have seen the same issue in our environment and fixing by changing to Applet mode and save it again.

    2) You can try remove the filters one by one and save the report again.

1945671 - Web Intelligence Process Server restarts or errors when report using filter is refreshed multiple times: “An internal error occured while calling processDPCommandsEx API. (Error: ERR_WIS_30270)”

1760827 - An internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' API (Error: ERR_WIS_30270) appears when

refreshing a WebIntelligence report based on a unx with optional prompt

1762504 - New Web Intelligence reports with Query Filters throw "processDPCommandsEX" WIS 30270 errors if keydate

variable is set to prompt users on data refresh if selecting values from list in WebI Java Query Panels (WRC/RIA)

1743388 - Error 'processDPCommandsEx' API. (Error: ERR_WIS_30270)' when listing/browsing the list of values of a

hierarchical object from within the member selector in BI4 SP04.

Also if you are idle for couple of mins in the prompts page also displaying the same error in LOV's area.

This am seeing in our Linux system 4.1 SP4 P3.

I have the below SAP case created for the same issue in the past.

    1159470 / 2013

And also we got complaints for the same issue from users in different scenarios.

    Hi Kultar ,

What is the backend for your report ?

Is Query stripping enabled for the report ? if yes , remove query stripping and try ?

further analyse , map a dedicated server group (add a specific webI proc server and AJS) to the schedule and try.

    Thank you.
