We have been trying to test " Maintain tickets" web service . Our scenario is to insert the values from a web from so its basically web to tickets scenario.

Form will have these fields Name, E-mail address and Message.

Our problem is we are not able to find how to insert value in Customer/Account Name Field( Screenshot attached) of a ticket and how a value will be populated in that field from external sources.?

Account /contact field in Ticket

Web Form

Please help!

Saurabh

    Hi Saurabh,

    BuyerParty is mandatory to create a Service Request, therefore you'll need to pass the BuyerParty ID in the web service request.

    In SOAP UI you should see something like

    <BuyerParty>

    <PartyID>ID Here</PartyID>

    </BuyerParty>

    I'm not 100% sure of this but I think you can send an update web service request that should actually change the name etc... but the party will be the same.

    Thanks,

    Will

    • Hi Will,

      Thanks for replying. My use case is to capture the details entered by customer into a web form and a ticket will thus be created( Basically web to service request scenario). So there are two work around for this:-

      1) To forward the information entered by customer in web form to our c4c mail id but in that case the challenge we are facing is we aren't be able to map the "Name" field of form to "Customer's/Account name" field in ticket which is basically a OWS. And if that customer doesn't exist in the system then it should create a new customer in the system.

      2) To integrate the web form to our c4c tickets view. In that case as well we are facing the same challenge of Email ID and Name of customer.

      So this is basically web to ticket scenario we want to implement.

      Regards,

      Saurabh

    Hi Saurabh,

    You could call the Query webservice to get the the Buyer Party.

    Thanks, Pradeep.
