Import from MS Project fails

Hi Gurus,

another question from my side.
I am struggling with the import from MS Project

When I export a project and try to re-import it to PPM I get the Error messages:

  • Enter an identification for the object
  • Selected file is not a valid XML file; select a valid XML File

Where would I enter an identification?

Why is it asking for a XML file when I want to import from MS Project, which is a .mpp-File.

If you had some similar problems any help would be appreciated

Kind regards,
Josef

implement the SAP Note 2322580.

Hi Josef,

There is a set of configuration activities which are required to be done.

Create a security certificate in WDR_ACF_WLIST with Whitelist profile name DEFAULT. Also provide certain upload and download folder location of your local drive.

Then generate the security certificate from WDR_ACF_GEN_CERT.

The last bit is downloading and installing the security certificate from ACF_WHITELIST_SETUP transaction. All users who require the PPM - MSP integration functionality will have to install this certificate.

Hope this helps.

Best regards

Hi Aditya,

I did all of this, hence the export is working fine.
The errors only occur when I try to import.

Kind regards,
Josef
