Dear All,

I am new to Crystal reports. I am having an application built with DOT net 1.1 which uses crystal reports 9.

I need to display images, where the color depth ratio or clarity of image is not clear in the output file.

I require the option "retain original image color depth", but is not visible under my crystal reports 9.

which is installed on windows Xp.

How to enable this option.

Is there anything to select while installing the Crystal reports 9.

Please help.

Attaching the file FYR..

Advance thanks,

Dear Don,

Thanks for the reply.

I have checked the version and both were different version under CR 9.

It works well in 9.2.2.507 and above.

Dear Dell,

I am having an existing system which is installed with CR 9.

where I can see all the options.

Attaching screenshot FYR...

As you mentioned, may be the problem with CR9 which I trying to install or the windows compatibility. I will give a try with any other version of CR 9 if available. thanks for the quick response.

Ah, then likely that PC does not have an image handler installed on it. I don't recall which one we need specifically but if you right click on a JPG file and look at the file association it has try a different one.

Only reason options will not show is because of dependencies CR is missing.

Look in the Help, About... More info buttons and compare the list to the one that works.Or use Modules or Process Monitor.

Have you seen the option with CR 9 on other operating systems?  Are you using the full version of CR 9 or the one that came with VS 2003?  (which is what I assume you're developing in since you're using .NET 1.1...)  I'm not entirely sure the option was available in that version of Crystal.  If it was available, then you may be running into an incompatibility between CR 9 and some of the base Windows functionality that is making the option unavailable.

Moving your post to .NET Forum

XP is end of life and end of support and CR 9 is end of life and end of support a long time ago.

Time to upgrade both.

If you upgrade to Visual Studio to 2010 Pro or above you can get the CR update runtime for free here:
