SAP BW 7.5 support?

Hi all,

We are using SAP Data Services 4.2 to process non-SAP data into our SAP BW 7.4 (on HANA) environment.

We are now looking to move to SAP BW 7.5 on HANA later this year.

Checking the PAM for SAP Data Services 4.2 support for BW 7.5 should be straight forward - but it isn't!

Being on SAP Data Services 4.2 SP06 Patch 2, I checked my copy of the SP06 PAM (dated 23-nov-2015).

On page 27, it clearly states that BW 7.4 is supported as of DS 4.2 SP01 Patch 3.

And BW 7.4+ is supported as of DS 4.2 SP02.

However, checking the DS 4.2 SP07 PAM online, the BW 7.4+ entry has been removed! The SP07 PAM only lists BW 7.4 as a supported SAP environment (page 28).

Could someone (at SAP?) provide some insight into the support of BW 7.5 - and if DS 4.2 SP07 doesn't provide this support, when can we expect this to be delivered? (SP08? and if so, when will this be released?)

Many thanks!

    Hello Erik,

I have had a response from my inquiry. BW 7.5 is planned for a future release; however an ETA is not being provided.

I'm not sure if it would be helpful or not (since DEV is already doing it eventually) but you could put a request for an enhancement via the SAP Idea Place. Maybe if there is enough demand then DEV might move up the time line.

    Thanks,
