Enhancement required for Auto TO

Hello Gurus,

I am bit new to SAP WM. We are activating external Storage Unit (SU) for a business requirement. We are creating immediate TOs for STO receipts. This is achieved via movement type configuration of IM- reference movement types and WM movement types and no enhancements.

As per our put away strategy, system picks the SU managed Storage type  (which is correct as per business need) and in this scenario, TO creation fails because SU is made external.

Basically my requirement is to copy the serial number entered in the goods receipt and auto populate as SU in TO creation.

Please through some light if any enhancements or any standard function modules which will be called during this immediate TO creation process.Because in this immediate TO creation scenario ,everything happens automatically behind the screens I am clueless where to start.

How do you make goods receipt against STO ? Using custom RF program or MIGO ? According to transaction you use, you need to enter external number into a suitable field and transfer that value while transfer order creation via user exit.

You can try with MWMTO007 user exit.

Thank you for the reply. We are using MIGO. I will check this user exit MWMTO007 with my programmer.

Currently while  serial numbers are entered in MIGO at the time of receipt and I want to pass them as Storage Unit numbers at the time of TO creation. In foreground TO creation, I don't have issues as system will stop and ask user to enter Storage Unit number (since external number range) .I am having issues in background immediate mode.

I will check the user exit whether it can be used for my requirement.

If that exist does not work, you may also try function module EXIT_SAPLL03A_003 under user exit MWMTO003.

Hi Alper,

Thanks for all the user exits information. But unfortunately they didn't worked out.

We have activated the Badi, MB_DOCUMENT_BADI  and whenever 101 happens for a STO, we will update that entry in a custom table with information like TR no, Material document and Warehouse no.

And this Badi shall trigger a custom event which in turn triggers a background job which will process the entries from table to create a TO using TR to TO function module.

Regrets for delayed response as I got stuck in another issue and eventually came back to this.

I am closing this thread as the requirement is met.

Hi Mohd,

Thank you for the reply. We are not using RF for this STO receipt and using MIGO. In custom RF transactions we are following what you mentioned. i.e., copying the value they have entered using memory ids and passing it to TO creation FMs.
